A day in the snow

Finally, it snowed, I didn't think it would snow at all but it did, and I'm so glad. I don't usually like the snow,
as its always so cold and slippery, but this year i actually quite enjoyed it! I woke up at the normal time of 6:30 am *yawn* expecting another day of school, only to look outside my window and find the whole street had transformed into a winter wonderland! And to top it all off, school was closed, score!
My Friend Holly and I decided to go out sledging in our area, and we found some the most perfect place. It was an empty land filled with hills brilliant for sledging down, plus it was a beautiful place, as it was surrounded my trees and plant decorated with snow.

I've always enjoyed sledging ever since i was young, and to be honest, it never gets old! It was one of the funniest days of the year so far, as it was filled with falling of the sledging, sliding into bushes, and struggling to get the sledge started. I will try and upload the videos of our terrible attempts next week haha.

Our Garden was literally covered completely in snow, it was one of the best sights i saw that day, however, as more people have been walking along the garden, its not as pretty as it was *sighs*

I will never forget this weekend, it has definitely been one of the highlights of the year already, although I do hope the snow disappears soon, as i cannot stand it after more than one day haha.

School, Exams and Prom

I haven't been able to blog for a while, as I've just gone back to school *insert yawn* and things have been pretty hectic with exams and just general learning.
Speaking of exams, I have 6 exams! Yes that's right, 6, Two French, Two German, English and Physics! Crazy right? Fortunately I've just completed my two french exams already, so that's 2 down, 4 to go. Can you believe that 4 of the exams are just retakes, slightly embarrassing haha, but I've only got one more year left of school, so i better knuckle down and focus, as time is running out!

It's weird that in June time, i will of officially left school. I know this sounds cheesy, but i'm definitely going to miss school, and if you're in the same situation, i know you will too! School is the place where you become your own individual person, where everyone matures (sort of..), and becomes confident! It's the place where you meet people who you'll be friends with for life! I'll miss the hours of laughter, those 'rebellious' moments, finally understanding something in maths, gossiping at break and lunch, making an idiot of myself in front of everyone, having a first boyfriend and most importantly just having such an amazing time with everyone. Yes okay, there have been many many times where I've absolutely hated school, and just wanted to walk out the front gates and never look back, where I've gotten into arguments, when i just understand nothing in lessons, or when i just want to explode from all the pressure of homework, revision and exams, but that's just what makes up school i guess. But to get to the point, i will miss school.

I always hate this time of the year, because dealing with all the stress with exams, revision, and course work from other subjects can be pretty difficult, so its nice to get away from all that, and just do something different, which is exactly what im going to be doing this weekend with two friends, we're going... prom dress shopping!!

We're only going to have one School prom in our life, so looking for the perfect dress for a girl means everything, from the colour,style, length, shape right to the material. I have no clue what type of dress i want, so excited for this weekend is an understatement. Even though Prom isn't until July, looking for prom essentials needs to start earlyish, otherwise all the good things will be gone. We have even decided what transport we'll be going in, i'll try and hint it to you, okay no i cant, i just have to tell you, it's the scooby doo mystery van!!! My friend found a car hire website, and the van was available, so now me and 6 others are all going to prom in a scooby doo van, talk about making an entrance;)

Resolutions Part 2

As i mentioned in a previous post, one of my new year's resolution was to try new things throughout the year, and so far its going pretty well, but i did forget to mention that i do in fact have another resolution... *drum roll* to get fit and healthy!
For the past 2 years I've been trying ages to lose weight etc etc buy going out running and sticking to a healthy diet, but junk food always over powered me, its just so hard to resist! But no, not this time. I've decided I will resist.
With the help of my mum and her new cookbook, We've found hundreds of healthy recipes for all kinds of meals, so now i can finally eat something that is good for you, without it tasting like cardboard :-)

Also recently, Myself and a friend joined our local gym, which is a great way to help you lose weight! The staff are ever so kind and it really gets you motivated to get fit. The Gym is also a great social place, as you can meet new people and work out at the same time! Plus, you don't feel embarrassed at all in the gym, because no one think's you look funny or no one judges you, because they're there for the same reason as you, so if you're thinking of joining the gym, don't let that stop you :-)
After the Gym, i always feel more positive and happier about myself, because I've done something I feel proud about, and i'm achieving my targets.




My Target is to get fit and lose at least a stone by July, as I'm going on holiday then *dances with joy* and i don't want to look like a complete potato in front of everyone haha.
If you have the same resolution as me, then don't let laziness and pizza etc get to the best of you, just think of the amazing results you'll get afterward, plus you will feel much happier about yourself, and more comfortable in your own body, which will make you smile and everyone around you!

Lush Bath Cosmetics

For Christmas, my lovely friend Holly, gave me possibly one of my best presents, Bath bombs from Lush! I've been getting items from Lush for years, but recently I haven't been able to go and buy anything, so when she gave me this for a present,i was more than happy!

One of the Bath Bars, is called 'Cream Candy' and the smell is absolutely amazing! It's like Candyfloss and Bubblegum mixed into one. Not only is the smell great, but it makes your bath water and skin nice and creamy. It also creates plenty of bubbles as well.

The next item is a Bubble beard. This was one of the Christmas products, and was personally my favourite. You place the Moustache on a stick under running water, and hundreds of bubbles appear by the second! It was also one of my favourites just because it was the shape of a moustache :-).

Lastly, the final item is the Party Popper Cone, and I simply cant wait to use this! I searched the product online, and the cone is supposed release colours, fragrance, popping candy and soap confetti into your bathwater, leaving you smelling nice and clean, and to also create a miniature party in your bath.

I definitely recommend buying these for yourself, as they leave you and your bath clean and refreshed! Personally i always feel happy after having a 'Lush' bath ;-).

Lemon Body Scrub

I have finally made my own body scrub! after hours of searching online to find the perfect recipe, i finally got round to actually making one! Its very easy to make as well, if you want to know how i made this, then look at the bottom of this post. I apologize at the fact that my picture isn't very good quality, and it doesn't look that interesting, but trust me, the results are amazing. This Scrub is a great idea to use as a present for friends and family!

I haven't had time yet to decorate the jar properly yet, as i don't have the right materials, but by next week i hope for it to be completed. (I did in fact try to decorate it earlier with superglue, but it went completely wrong, and i ended up with super glued hands, brilliant!)

Lemon Sugar Scrub

How I Made The Scrub

Ingredients

• 2 Cups of Granulated Sugar
• 1 Cup of Olive Oil
• Lemon Extract or Lemon Juice
• Jar

1. Use two cups of sugar and one cup of oil, and mix them together in a bowl
2. Then add the Lemon extract, and stir it in with the mixture.
3. Once the mixture has been thoroughly stirred and the sugar has saturated, place the mixture in an airtight container or jar.
4. To use the scrub, gently rub the mixture over damp skin, then rinse with warm water and dry.

New Room

After a lot of thinking, I've decided that I will redecorate my room! It's already been painted and has got plenty of pictures dotted about, but I think it's time to change the layout, and even add some new additions! I've been looking on Amazon, and I came across "Vintage Bunting". I've always liked the look of bunting, but never really got round to picking it up and buying it, so you know what? I've finally decided to go ahead and order some, because they're really pretty and will hopefully lighten up my room.

I have this pin up board up on my wall, with many many pictures of my friends and myself, but the only thing is that i haven't changed the pictures in a veryyyy long time, so I will also, print some new pictures, as it is a new year and all, and many events have taken place and all, so I'm looking forward to that!

I will post the pictures of my newly decorated room as soon as I have finished, and I'd like to hear what you all think :-).

New Year Resolution

New Year's Resolution 

So basically, for the new year I decided to create a blog, based on my New Year's Resolution, which is, wait for it... to try something completely new and out of the blue, hopefully everyday. I say everyday, but it may be twice or three times a week, due to the fact of school, revision, etc etc.
Anyway, as you can see, for Day One I have started a blog! I have to warn you though as i have never ever made a blog in my life and I literally have no idea how to use one, so I am just getting started with all this blogging technology haha, but eventually i hope to get to terms with it! So Happy New Year!x
